School Upgrading Works (Aug 2018)

1 Aug 2018 - Kheng Cheng School is undergoing upgrading works as part of MOE’s plan to support holistic education. We are currently in Phase 1 of our project which includes the construction of the Indoor Sports Hall, Media Resource Library and Student Care Centre. Construction works are expected to be completed by Feb 2020.

Trust-Build Engineering and Construction Pte Ltd have been appointed by MOE for the school’s upgrading project. During upgrading, the school will continue to operate at its current site and our appointed contractor will take the necessary safety and security measures on-site.

Safety hoarding, noise barriers, window screens and temporary air conditioners have been installed to minimise dust and noise. Weekly fogging and twice-weekly oiling of drains are also carried out for vector control.

We seek your continued support and co-operation as we work together to provide a holistic education for the children in the Toa Payoh community. For clarifications, please contact the following parties:

School Upgrading Works

19 Mar 2018

Dear parents,

You would have received a memo on the 19 March 2018 about the commencement of upgrading works.

In 2017, parents were informed that Kheng Cheng School will be upgraded with additional facilities as part of MOE’s plan to support holistic education. We are pleased to inform you that construction works will commence on 26 Mar 2018 and are expected to be completed by Feb 2020.

We seek your continued support and co-operation as we work together to provide a holistic
education for your child. If you have any queries, please feel free to contact our Operations
Manager, Mr John Lee at 62552502 or email us at kcs@moe.edu.sg.

Parents’ Engagement on School Upgrading Works

We have conducted a Parents’ Engagement on School Upgrading Works on Thursday, 22 March 18 at 7 p.m. in Kheng Cheng School. We thank parents for taking time to attend the session and share your feedback. The presentation slides for the session is attached here for parents' information:

Shuttle Bus Service

We have adopted the suggestion given by some parents during our engagement session last year and have made arrangements with the school's transport company to provide a shuttle service from the back gate to school. Details are as follows:

  • Pickup Timings: 6.50 am (Arrival), 1.45 pm (Dismissal)
  • Monthly Rates: $25 (1 way), $35 (2 ways)
  • The bus company would require a booking of at least 20 students to run the service.

Interested parents can call Teo Boon Transport Admin Office to enquire about the service at 6758 5382.

The school has also communicated to the bus company to keep the shuttle bus booking line open until end Apr 2018. This would allow parents to make an informed decision if they require the shuttle bus service after trying out the different means of commuting to school.
