Kestrel Cub Scouts
Vision
Better Scouting for more young People
Mission
To contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law and to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.
Objectives
Established in January 2016, the Kheng Cheng Kestrel Cub Scout Unit reflects Kheng Cheng School’s commitment to nurturing confident, values-driven young individuals. Through Scouting, our Cub Scouts develop strong character, a sense of responsibility, and a heart for service. Guided by the Scout Promise and Law, they learn to practise kindness daily and make meaningful contributions to others.
Our thoughtfully designed programme offers a rich variety of engaging and purposeful activities that build resilience, leadership, and teamwork. In a fun and supportive environment, every Cub Scout is empowered to grow, lead, and thrive—ready to meet the challenges of the future with confidence and integrity.
Approach
Guided by the Scouting Method, our Cub Scout programme brings our objectives to life through engaging, hands-on experiences that nurture each child’s physical, mental, social, and moral development.
In a supportive and structured environment, Cub Scouts are encouraged to explore, take on challenges, and grow in confidence and resilience. Central to this journey, the Scout Movement, is a strong values framework anchored in the Scout Promise and Law, which shapes character, responsibility, and a commitment to serving others.
The Scout Promise
On my Honour, I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Republic of Singapore
To help other people and
To keep the Scout Law
The Scout Law
A Scout is to be trusted
A Scout is loyal
A Scout makes friends, establishes and maintains harmonious relations
A Scout is disciplined and considerate
A Scout has courage in all difficulties
Through this purposeful approach, our Cub Scouts develop integrity, leadership, and a lifelong spirit of service—growing into confident individuals ready to contribute meaningfully to society.
